A companion piece to Lacuna, evolving the current modus operandi a little further. Clearing again comprises layers of highly processed voice samples - with subliminal live accompaniment - recorded 'direct to tape' (i.e., Fostex HDD recorder) with the aid of an ASR10 sampling keyboard+effects, a battered distortion pedal, headset mic and the ubiquitous masking tape. Like Lacuna, these recordings are entirely improvised, with several hours of recordings edited down to 40 min or so of atmospheric drift.
